CATS LITE: Definitely Not Your Dad's Generic TTRPG System.

CATS LITE is a generic TTRPG adventure system that asks players to hybridize, bastardize, and queer received genres and archetypes of Western cultural imagination. The game draws inspiration from 12 generic pulp archetypes:

1. The Honorable Knight
2. The Famed Musician
3. The Strange Psychic
4. The Elderly Magician
5. The Beautiful Maiden
6. The Gentleman Thief
7. The Gunslinging Cowboy
8. The Private Investigator
9. The Innocent Child
10. The Genius Inventor
11. The Hulking Barbarian
12. The Supernatural Being

But, rather than asking you to solely inhabit one archetype, you inhabit two archetypes at once. And also, neither of these archetypes define who you are.

Instead, one of the archetypes you inhabit is the way that people see you, their first impressions of you. The other is aspirational, or who you aspire to be some day. Players generate tokens whenever they engage these aspects of their character, and they spend those tokens to perform actions in the game. 

The rest of the system is run using a tight 3d6 + skill bonus roll with variable TNs. And to top it off, each archetype comes with associated moves and abilities!

A review: CATS is like GURPS, if GURPS was gay.
