Invincible Sword Princess is a game of postcolonial revenge.

In Invincible Sword Princess, you play sword-wielding sisters journeying across the Hallows, seeking out your mother's killers.

Using a rules-lite PBTA system, you'll create characters by defining your sword's super powers, your relationship with your sisters, and assigning points to your three stats: invincible, sword, and princess.

"Four years ago, at your mother’s funeral, you and your sisters made a pact. Together, you’d find her killers—and they would be met with justice."

This game is amazing. Imagine Kill Bill with an asian lead instead of a white lady. Easy to learn and fun to play. My group struggled a bit with what it means to exact revenge for colonization but had a good time exploring that together in and out of gameplay.

This game is absolutely incredible-- it is one of the best mutual character-building experiences I've had, and I am very excited to run it myself!

Finally had the opportunity to run this game last night and it was so wonderful! The players really enjoyed developing their sibling dynamic and the world together (a lot of them were new to games that ask for intentional collective decision-making around setting elements), and the mechanic for seeking insight/question asking in particular levied the narrative into some alternatingly hilarious and intense cathartic directions. This had been planned one-shot, but we'll be expanding into a short campaign.

I was sold on the title alone, and the fact that it's a truly excellent game, with a really gorgeous layout and excellent mechanic, makes it even better.

What a great game! It's concise and beautiful to look at, but packs a LOT of content, including some very cool mechanic interactions between stats, resolution, and statuses. Well done, Kazumi!
